Middle Kenai River
The Middle River is the portion of the Kenai River from the mouth of Skilak Lake to Bing’s Landing and is known to hold trophy size Rainbow Trout. This section of the Kenai River is not drift only, but fishing this area from a drift boat offers anglers the best opportunity to hook into a Rainbow Trout of a lifetime. Trophy fish of 30 inches or more are not uncommon in this area during the peak season. The Middle Kenai River also offers anglers the opportunity to fish for early second run Sockeye Salmon during the early part of July before they reach the Upper Kenai River.
