Fishing varies throughout the season requiring us to cater our trips according to what is running at the time of booking. Below are some general timeframes of the seasonal variations, which of course are completely dependent on the fish.

May 15 to June 11

King Salmon Fishing is excellent this time of year on the Kasilof River.

June 11 to July 1
|
Primarily sockeye salmon with some rainbow and dolly fishing. The best Rainbow and Dolly fishing will be found on the full day Upper Kenai River Canyon trip. |
July 1 to August 1
|
Primarily trout and dollies on the Upper Kenai. The Kenai River Canyon is particularly good for larger rainbows this time of year. Fishing on the Middle Kenai River will begin to pick-up for Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden. This can also be one of the best locations on the Kenai River to fish for Sockeye Salmon that normally arrive by the thousands in July. |
August 1 to August 15

The King Salmon spawn is in full swing and Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishing is getting better by the day on both the Upper and Middle Kenai River. Sockey salmon fishing on the Upper Kenai River is often times still possible depending upon the timing and strength of the run. |
August 15 to October 15

This is the time of year that every Alaskan waits for as the fishing gets unbelievable. Sockeye are spawning in full force and the egg bite is on fire! This is the time of year to come fishing if you want to catch large numbers of Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden. Both the Upper Kenai River Canyon and the Middle Kenai River offer anglers the opportunity to catch a Trophy Rainbow Trout of a lifetime. Depending upon the strength of the run, Silver Salmon fishing is also possible on both the Upper and Middle Kenai River. |
